Stephen Kottmann

Stephen Kottmann is a seasoned expert in informatics and data management with extensive experience in the life sciences sector. Currently serving as VP of Informatics and Engineering at Generate:Biomedicines since April 2019, Stephen leads the development of an innovative data platform designed specifically for generative biology. Prior roles include Senior Director and Director of Informatics at H3 Biomedicine, where strategic data management practices were established across various research phases, and a consulting position at Tessella, focused on enabling analytics-ready organizations. Stephen holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and dual Bachelor's degrees in Chemistry and Physics from Eckerd College.
