Derek Hazelet

Derek Hazelet currently serves as Executive Pastor at The Axis Church since April 2021, focusing on fostering spiritual growth and community engagement. In parallel, Derek works as a Generosity Strategist with Generis and a Church Strategist with Do More Ministry LLC, helping churches develop strategies for funding their missions through data-informed insights and biblical principles. Derek previously held the position of Senior Vice President of Product Operations at Pursuant from November 2014 to June 2018, where a focus was on building strategic relationships and enhancing technology solutions for nonprofit leaders. Derek's earlier experience includes serving as Campus Development and Membership Pastor at Long Hollow Baptist Church and various managerial roles at Dollar General. Derek earned a Master of Arts in Leadership with a focus on Church Ministries from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary between 2012 and 2014.
