Ed Hyde has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Ed most recently served as the Chief Transformation and Technology Officer at Genesis starting from September 2023. Prior to that, they were the Chief Customer Officer at Chorus NZ Limited from July 2018 to August 2023. Ed also held roles at companies such as Spark New Zealand, where they served as the CEO of Spark Ventures and Director of Semble, and at Qrious Limited, where they were the CEO. Additionally, they have experience in the telecommunications industry, having worked at Yes Telecom and Townley Communications Plc.
Ed Hyde attended The University of Manchester from 1997 to 2000, where they obtained a BSc degree in Engineering and Material Science.

The segment includes electricity sales to the wholesale electricity market, derivatives entered into to fix the price of electricity, and wholesale gas and coal sales. The Oil and gas segment is engaged in the exploration, development, production and sale of gas, LPG and light oil. The Corporate segment is engaged in new generation investigation and development, fuel management, information systems and property management, among others.
