Nancy McAlexander serves as the Director of Care Coordination at Genesis Health System since June 2013 and has also held the position of Director of Quality Management Services at Alegent Health since June 2003. Nancy earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Creighton University between 1978 and 1982.

Genesis Health System exists to provide compassionate, quality health services to all those in need. It contains 665 inpatient beds across the entire health system, and employs 5500 people. Genesis was formed from the partnership of its two predecessor hospitals, Mercy Hospital (founded in 1869) and St. Luke's Hospital (founded in 1885), both in Davenport. Genesis Health System was formed in June of 1994, and now serves a 10 county area with three urban hospitals and three critical access hospitals in eastern Iowa and western Illinois.
