Amanda Smith

Amanda Smith holds extensive experience in quality control and biotechnological research, currently serving as the Department Head of Quality Control Testing and Inspection at GenMark Diagnostics since April 2015. With previous roles at Immucor, Inc. and Gen-Probe Incorporated, Amanda has successfully managed various departments focused on quality control, formulations, and assay development. A strong academic background includes a Master of Science in Applied Genomics and a Bachelor of Science in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of Connecticut. Earlier career experiences also include managerial responsibilities in the hospitality sector and work as a pharmacy technician.
