Nathan Sikhamsay

Nathan Sikhamsay has over 19 years of work experience in the biotechnology industry. Nathan started their career as a Quality Control Associate at Althea Technologies in 2000. Nathan then worked as a Research Associate at Illumina from 2001 to 2003. After that, they joined Gen Probe as a Senior Research Associate and worked there until 2012. At Gen Probe, they gained experience in molecular biology techniques and data analysis. Since 2012, Nathan has been working at GenMark Diagnostics, where they initially served as a Scientist in Assay Development and Assay Integration. In this role, they wrote technical protocols, reports, and executed analytical studies that led to FDA clearance and CE mark for a Blood Culture Identification Fungal Pathogen Panel. Nathan also utilized molecular biology techniques to quantitate DNA and designed experiments using PCR and Real-Time PCR. In 2018, they were promoted to the position of Senior Scientist in Assay Development, where they continue to contribute to the development of new assays.

Nathan Sikhamsay obtained their Bachelor's degree from the University of California, Davis, majoring in Biology/Biological Sciences, General. Nathan studied at the university from 1996 to 2000.
