Syed Malek Faisal Syed Mohamad is an accomplished professional in the renewable energy sector, currently serving as the Head of Renewables for Gentari in Malaysia and Southeast Asia since September 2022. Responsibilities include leading and managing the renewable energy business, overseeing integrated solutions for renewable energy, green hydrogen, and green mobility, as well as managing assets and profit and loss for the Malaysia business. Prior experience includes head positions at PETRONAS, where significant contributions were made to the establishment of solar energy initiatives, and at COMOS, which involved developing low carbon business models. An earlier career at Proton focused on strategic planning and vehicle development. Syed Malek holds an M.Phil in Technology Policy from the University of Cambridge and a B.Eng in Mechatronics from King's College London.
