John Cheng has over 12 years of work experience in the engineering field. John began their career in 2008 as a Mechanical Design Engineer for TECO Electric & Machinery Co., Ltd., Taiwan. In 2010, they became a Teaching Assistant for the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of Texas at Arlington. In 2012, they began working as a Product Engineer for Foxconn. In 2014, they joined National Oilwell Varco as a Mechanical Engineer. John Cheng obtained a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from The University of Texas at Arlington between 2009 and 2011. In 2016, they obtained an Engineer in Training-Mechanical Engineer certification from the Texas Board of Professional Engineers. In 2017, they obtained a Professional Engineer in Mechanical Design module certification from the Texas Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors.
