Sean O'Brien

Sean O'Brien, P.E. has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of geostructural design and performance monitoring. Sean is currently working as the President of Geocomp - GeoTesting Express, where they provide comprehensive services to clients worldwide. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Development Officer at GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc. and founded their own consulting company, SPOBrien Consulting & Co., LLC. Before that, Sean held leadership positions at BSC Group, Kennedy/Jenks Consultants, ARCADIS U.S., and Earth Tech. Sean also worked as an Adjunct Instructor at Wentworth Institute of Technology and began their career as a Project Engineer at Metcalf & Eddy. Throughout their career, Sean has accumulated a deep understanding of structural and geotechnical material behavior and has utilized the latest performance monitoring technologies to provide innovative solutions for clients.

Sean O'Brien, P.E. holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Environmental Engineering with a minor in Chemistry from Norwich University, which they obtained from 1986 to 1990. Sean furthered their education by earning a Master of Science (MS) degree in Civil & Environmental Engineering from Tufts University between 1991 and 1997. Sean also pursued an MBA from the Babson F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business from 2000 to 2004. Additionally, they are a certified Professional Engineer (PE) by both the State of Vermont and the Massachusetts Board of Professional Registration.
