Chris Acelar

Chris Acelar currently serves as the Senior Director of Tax at GeoComply, overseeing global tax strategies since November 2023. Prior to this role, Chris was the Tax Products Lead at Stripe from August 2017 to October 2023, where responsibilities included acting as the Interim Head of Tax and guiding the tax function to support new product launches and features, including initiatives like Stripe 1099 and Stripe Tax. Chris's professional journey began at PwC, where significant experience was gained as a Tax Director from September 2006 to August 2017. Chris holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics from UCLA, completed in 2006.
