Jose del Barrio

Jose del Barrio is the Founder and Managing Partner of Samaipata, a Pan-European early-stage fund that invests in digital businesses with network effects, currently managing €150 million across various vehicles since April 2015. In addition to this role, Jose serves as a board member for multiple companies, including Embat, Klarys, Legl, Retraced, Geomiq, and Matera, often leading seed funding rounds. Jose has also been an early-stage investor in Spotahome and a mentor for Endeavor, a global community supporting high-impact entrepreneurs. Previously, Jose served as a board member for Deporvillage.com until its acquisition by ISRG, enhancing a high-growth e-commerce company in the sports and wellness sector. Jose holds Bachelor's degrees in Economics and Business Administration from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid.
