Jie Qi

Jie Qi is a Research Geophysicist at Geophysical Insights since February 2020, with prior experience as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Oklahoma from June 2013 to February 2020, providing technical support for seismic data processing and new algorithm development for industry sponsors. During an earlier role as a Graduate Assistant, Jie Qi conducted research on azimuthal anisotropy analysis and seismic interpretation. An internship at PGS involved analyzing seismic attributes with stochastic models, and a research assistantship at the University of Houston focused on faults and discontinuities analysis in the Fort Worth Basin, TX. Jie Qi holds a PhD in Geophysics and Seismology from the University of Oklahoma and a Master's degree in the same field from the University of Houston.
