Yao Xie holds the position of Coca-Cola Foundation Chair and Professor at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where also serves as Associate Director of the Machine Learning Center and has held roles from Assistant Professor to Associate Professor since August 2013. Prior experience includes serving as a Research Scientist at Duke University focusing on statistical signal processing and wireless communications from January 2012 to August 2013, and as a Graduate Research Assistant at Stanford University from September 2006 to January 2012, where Yao Xie developed statistical signal processing tools for various applications. Earlier work includes a summer research internship at GE Global Research and research assistant roles at the University of Florida. Yao Xie obtained a PhD in Electrical Engineering with a minor in Mathematics from Stanford University, a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Florida, and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Science and Technology of China.
