Shemyla Anwar is vice president of engineering at GEP, where she leads application engineering and drives the development of AI-powered products. She brings deep expertise in artificial intelligence, machine learning, large language models, and enterprise-grade platforms.

Prior to GEP, Shemyla held senior executive roles at GEICO, Expedia Group, and Amazon Alexa, where she led large-scale digital transformations and built AI-driven platforms and products used by millions. She is recognized for building high-performing teams, delivering scalable systems, and driving innovation that enhances customer experience and business outcomes.

A committed advocate for diversity in tech, Shemyla has launched mentorship and returnship programs across multiple organizations to support women and underrepresented talent in engineering and product leadership.

She holds multiple patents in natural language processing and conversational AI. She earned a Master of Science in computer science from California State University, Long Beach.
