Marco Gaudina, PhD, is an experienced technology leader with a focus on IoT, data, and technology. Marco is currently the CTO of Gessi, where they drive innovation and oversees the development of cutting-edge solutions. Marco's expertise lies in leveraging emerging technologies to enhance operational efficiency, improve user experiences, and foster sustainable growth. Prior to Gessi, Marco served as the CEO of Circle Garage, leading a company at the forefront of sensor networks, robotics, and interactive technologies. Marco has also worked as a professor at ITS-ICT Genova and held various technical leadership roles, including EMEA ICT Manufacturing Industry 4.0 Team Technical Leader at FCA Fiat Chrysler Automobiles. Additionally, Marco contributed to the groundbreaking journey of Singular Perception as its CTO, spearheading the development of cutting-edge VR experiences. Marco holds a PhD from IIT - Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia and has prior experience as an IT project manager and MES engineer at Università degli Studi di Genova, Hyla Soft, and Siemens.
Marco Gaudina, PhD obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Human Computer Interaction, Virtual Reality, and Robotics from the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia between 2009 and 2012. Prior to that, they completed their Master of Science (MS) degree in Robotics and Automation from the Università degli Studi di Genova from 2000 to 2006. Additionally, they received Recognition of Entrepreneurial Achievement in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies from KAUFFMAN FASTTRACK in 2017.
