Iavor Botev is a seasoned professional in machine learning and data initiatives, currently serving as Team Lead Data & ML and Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Lago since September 2024, where Iavor focuses on creating predictive machine learning pipelines and business analytics features. Previously, Iavor held the position of Lead Machine Learning Engineer at Jiminny, leading AI initiatives to extract insights from sales conversations, and served as a Senior Data Scientist at Wayflyer, automating the underwriting process through data pipelines and machine learning models. Additionally, Iavor worked as a Data Scientist in the FinCrime - Risk team at Revolut, developing models to combat fraud, and founded Finciples, a company designed to educate individuals on personal finance and investment strategies. Iavor holds a Master of Science in Statistics with Financial Mathematics from The University of Sheffield and a Master of Science in Finance and Investments from the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University.
