As Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, Gene Foca sits on the company’s executive team and is responsible for the global marketing organization, overseeing Getty Images’ brand portfolio, as well as all marketing channels and functional disciplines from digital to communications.

He has a wealth of experience across e-commerce, product and digital marketing, bringing over 20 years’ experience as a strategic and data-driven marketing leader and general manager, launching and growing some of the world’s biggest content and e-commerce businesses.

Gene joined Getty Images in early 2017 from Fresh Direct, where he was responsible for the grocer’s customer marketing and oversaw marketing plans for the launch of Foodkick into Manhattan. Prior to that, Foca was based in Jersey City as Senior Director of Marketing at Amazon where he operated as the subsidiary Quidsi’s chief marketing professional, overseeing the building out of new forecasting and segmentation models and helping to lead Quidsi to its most profitable year ever. Gene also headed up business development and marketing for the Kindle North American Newsstand at Amazon in Seattle.

Prior to that he was at News Corporation as Senior Vice President of Marketing for News Digital, where he worked on the creation of new content apps and contributed to the launch of The Daily, the first mobile daily news product of its kind. He had previously spent 18 years with Time Incorporated and Time Warner.

Gene is an avid soccer fan and has coached extensively. He lives in New York City with his wife and three children.
