Harshal Shah

Harshal Shah has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Harshal currently works as an Engineering Manager at GetYourGuide. Prior to that, they held the same role at HelloFresh, where they successfully migrated from kops-based Kubernetes clusters to AWS managed EKS clusters and improved communication with legacy components by utilizing DNS forwarding feature. Harshal also implemented a change of CNI networking plugin from kube-router to coredns without any downtime.

Before joining HelloFresh, Harshal was a Solutions Architect at infraCloud Technologies, where they implemented various solutions such as a Kubernetes FlexVolume driver for a storage provider and automated tools for cluster creation and network monitoring on multiple cloud platforms.

Harshal started their career at Amdocs, where they held several roles over a period of more than a decade. As a Technologies Specialist in Infrastructure and DevOps, they implemented projects such as Filebeat-Elasticsearch-Kibana, evaluated Ansible Tower, and implemented a fully distributed CES 9. Earlier in their tenure at Amdocs, they worked as an SSME, handling build release processes and software upgrades for various tools. Harshal also worked as an SME, handling daily build checks, troubleshooting compilation and linkage issues, and maintaining and distributing build products.

Harshal Shah earned a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Computer Technology/Computer Systems Technology from Nagpur University from 2000 to 2004. Harshal also obtained additional certifications including the Certified Kubernetes Administrator from The Linux Foundation in September 2017 and the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate from Amazon Web Services in February 2016.
