Mette Thomsen

Mette Thomsen is an accomplished localization and communication professional with extensive experience in the tech and marketing sectors. Currently serving as Localization Lead for GetYourGuide since April 2018, Mette oversees the Danish localization of user interface, marketing materials, and inventory copy while also acting as a UX ambassador within the Localization team. Responsibilities include managing transcreation quality, developing a Danish style guide and training materials, and supervising freelance translators. Prior experience includes a brief tenure as Freelance Community Manager for We Are Social, and roles in communication coordination and campaign management at Lix Technologies and Studenterlauget. Mette holds a BA in International Business Communication from Aarhus BSS at Aarhus University and has furthered education at Singapore Management University.
