Michael Cherry is an accomplished HR and People and Culture professional with extensive experience across various industries. Currently serving as General Manager - People and Culture at gforce employment + recruitment since October 2022, Michael oversees Human Resources, Organisational Development, Health and Safety, Quality, Fleet, Facilities, and Payroll while fostering a positive workplace culture. Previously, Michael held several key HR positions, including HR/IR Manager for Mohawk Industries, where leadership encompassed strategic and tactical human resource management for over 500 employees across Australia. Additional roles include Group HR/IR Manager and Senior HR & IR Adviser at Godfrey Hirst, Senior Human Resources Manager at Riverside Textiles, and Human Resources Manager at Feltex Carpets, along with early experience as a Research Assistant at Deakin University. Michael holds a Doctor of Law in Employment Law from RMIT University and multiple Commerce degrees from Deakin University, focusing on Human Resources Management and Financial Planning.
