David Eames

David Eames is an experienced engineering professional with a focus on mechanical engineering and project management. Currently serving as Team Leader - Resources and Technical Director - Mechanical Engineering at GHD since September 2014, David manages engineering projects for Energy and Resources clients and oversees tender proposals for design consultancy. Prior experience includes roles at Rio Tinto Alcan, where David was Engineering Superintendent, responsible for managing an engineering department and ensuring compliance with industry standards, as well as leading significant safety and reliability improvements. Additional positions held include Digestion Maintenance Superintendent and Project Leader for Lean Six Sigma initiatives. David began a career at Alcoa as a Reliability Engineer and holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Southern Queensland and a Certificate IV in Project Management from Charles Darwin University.
