Previously, Steven held the position of Partner at Rukin Hyland Doria & Tindall from January 2007 to December 2016 and at Lieff Cabraser Heimann & Bernstein from October 1998 to December 2006, where both roles included responsibilities as a partner and associate. Before entering the legal field, Steven was a teacher for 5th and 6th grades at Teach For America in Inglewood, California, from August 1990 to June 1992. Steven earned a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from the University of California, Berkeley - School of Law between 1993 and 1996, and also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Yale University, completed in 1990.
