Karl Chee has a variety of work experience in different roles and industries. Karl started their career in 2002 as a Mechanical Engineer at EXCEL MACHINE TOOLS LIMITED. From 2005 to 2007, they worked as a New Product Introduction Engineer at PCI. Karl then joined CIMB in 2007 as a Quantitative Analyst before moving to Barclays Capital in 2008 as a Vice President in Market Risk Engineering. In 2012, they joined GIC, where they held multiple positions. Karl started as a Lead in Risk Solutions, and in 2021, they became the Head of Risk Infrastructure in the Risk & Performance Management Department.
Karl Chee completed their Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Financial Engineering from Nanyang Technological University Singapore in 2008. Prior to that, they obtained their Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree in Engineering from the University of Cambridge in 2002.
