Daniel Kimbel

Daniel Kimbel is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in both backend and automation interface development. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at Ginkgo Bioworks, Inc. since November 2018, Daniel previously held a similar role at LendUp from August 2014 to October 2018, working primarily with Scala and Java. Prior to these positions, Daniel contributed to Butchershop as a Contract Web Developer, where responsibilities included developing responsive websites using PHP, JavaScript/jQuery, CSS3, and HTML5. Early career experiences at SENS Research Foundation involved roles as a Copywriter, Academic Coordinator, and Researcher, focusing on content creation, program management, and research in biological sciences. Daniel holds a B.A. in Biological Sciences from Rice University and completed Dev Bootcamp in 2013.
