Girl Scouts of Greater NY
Jimmy Van Bramer serves as the Commissioner and Vice President of the Public Design Commission since January 2023, focusing on City-owned property project proposals. Prior to this role, Jimmy was the Chief Growth and Strategic Partnerships Officer at the Girl Scouts of Greater New York since January 2022 and a City Council Member for New York City Council from January 2010 to December 2021. Jimmy's earlier experience includes serving as the Chief External Affairs Officer at Queens Library from January 1999 to December 2009, and as the Deputy Field Director for Citizen Action of New York in 1998, where field operations in Queens were directed for the Clean Money, Clean Elections initiative. Jimmy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and Corrections from St. John's University and graduated from William Cullen Bryant High School.
