Ashraf Hendi is a seasoned legal professional currently serving as Partner and Head of Banking and Finance at GLA & Company since September 2024. Prior to this role, Ashraf was a Partner at Matouk Bassiouny, focusing on Finance and Projects from August 2018 to September 2024. Ashraf's extensive experience includes positions as Counsel and Senior Associate at Matouk Bassiouny, Associate at Al Tamimi & Company specializing in Banking and Finance, and Senior Associate at Zaki Hashem & Partners with a focus on Banking Law. Earlier in the career, Ashraf worked as a Lawyer at Dentons and as Legal Counsel at HSBC, complemented by a foundation as a Corporate Customer Services Representative. Ashraf began in the public sector as a Police Lieutenant at the Ministry of Interior of Egypt. Academically, Ashraf holds a Master's Degree in International and Comparative Law from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law and several legal qualifications from The American University in Cairo and Ain Shams University, alongside an LL.B. and a Diploma of Police Sciences from the Police Academy of Egypt.
