Gary Maguire MBE, M.CLDSC has extensive experience in community services and development, currently serving as the Community Services Co-ordinator at Glasgow Life since May 2003, overseeing teams focused on youth, adults, community engagement, and early childhood services. Additional roles include Director at Govan Home and Education Link Project, Chair of the Board of Trustees at The Pearce Institute, and Founder of The Purple Ball, an initiative supporting Kidney Research UK. Gary Maguire also holds the position of Chair of the Board at Govan Housing Group and has contributed as a Special Events Officer for Glasgow 2018. Educational qualifications include an MSc in Advanced Professional Studies, Community Education, and a BA in Community Education, Youth Work, both from the University of Strathclyde, along with youth work studies at Western Sydney University. Furthermore, Gary Maguire served as a Main Award Committee Member for the UK's Queens Award for Voluntary Service and managed services for SWAYED, a prominent youth voluntary organization.
