Matthew Viva has a diverse background in legal and compliance roles. Matthew began their career as a Senior Compliance Analyst at Fidelity Charitable®, where they focused on ensuring regulatory compliance. Matthew then joined Stuart Law Firm, PLLC as an Associate Attorney, where they specialized in commercial litigation and regulatory compliance in the insurance market. Following that, Matthew worked at Red Hat as a Contract HR Compliance Analyst III, providing legal and compliance consultation for the Employment & Expansion team. Matthew later joined IQVIA as a Sr. Contract Specialist, responsible for negotiating contracts and advising on regulatory compliance in clinical trials. Matthew continued their tenure at IQVIA as an Associate Counsel, leading negotiations and providing legal guidance to internal stakeholders. Currently, Matthew serves as the Director of Legal at the Global Coalition for Adaptive Research, where they lead the legal team, offers guidance on regulatory compliance, contract management, and corporate risk mitigation.
Matthew Viva graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Peace, War, and Defense and Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2012. Matthew went on to pursue a Doctor of Law (JD) degree at the University of North Carolina School of Law, completing their studies in 2015.
