Jennifer Zhang

Jennifer is used to being on the go, having grown up in Italy, Massachusetts, and Ohio. Her later adventures include cycling through roles as a Fair Trade barista, an EFL/ESL teacher, and a program coordinator and facilitator for Global Glimpse. Each step opened her eyes to different facets of the world: the inequalities present across and within country borders, the boundless potential of inspired youth to effect change, and the capacity for travel-based, student-centered experiential learning to promote global citizenship and intercultural awareness. As the International Operations Manager, Jennifer focuses on curriculum development, program expansion, and management of health and safety systems. She holds an MA in Linguistics from the Ohio State University and is in the process of wrapping up a PhD in Linguistics at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.
