Marcela Berrios

Marcela was deeply influenced by the inequality she witnessed growing up between New Orleans and Nicaragua. She is passionate about creating opportunities for young people from all backgrounds to break through barriers and envision themselves as leaders. Over the course of her nine year career with Global Glimpse, Marcela has held multiple leadership roles; she has extensive experience in program design, international operations, risk management, and health & safety. As VP of International programs Marcela oversees all international operations to support a safe and meaningful experience for students, educators, and staff. Marcela is bilingual and multicultural and she holds a BA in Psychology and Behavioral Social Science from Ave Maria University in Nicaragua. When not at work you can find her picnicking or building forts with her two daughters, learning how to cook new dishes, and connecting with new people wherever she can.
