Bob O’Brien is a Managing Director and GIP’s Chief Risk Officer. He is based in New York.

Prior to GIP, Mr. O’Brien worked at Credit Suisse for 15 years where he served in various roles, including Global Head of Corporate Banking and Structured Finance and Chief Executive Officer of Credit Suisse for the Americas. From 1997 to 2008, he served as the Chief Credit Officer and Global Head of Credit Risk Management with responsibilities for the bank’s one trillion dollar balance sheet.

Mr. O’Brien holds a B.S. in Economics from Wagner College.
