Shane Simmons

Shane Simmons, CISSP, is an experienced IT security professional currently serving as Senior Director of IT Security at Global Lending Services LLC since April 2023. With a robust background in cybersecurity, Shane also holds a position in the Cyber Protection Battalion within the South Carolina Army National Guard since February 2020. Previously, Shane was the Chief Executive Officer of Cyber Unleashed, a cybersecurity training company that was built and exited, as well as Chief Information Officer for the South Carolina Department of Employment and Workforce. Shane has contributed as a Board Member for the NASWA Technology Committee, which focuses on enhancing workforce development through technology. Prior roles include Chief Information Security Officer at the South Carolina Department of Social Services and Chief Information Security Officer at Berkeley Electric Cooperative. Shane's education includes a Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance from Western Governors University and various certifications in cybersecurity training from ARCENT Signal University and the United States Army Signal Center.
