Harry W. Tabak is a highly experienced maritime professional currently serving as a Guest Lecturer at the Royal Dutch Military Academy and an Investigator/Engineer at the Onderzoeksraad voor Veiligheid. With a career spanning several decades, Tabak has held significant positions, including Vice President of the Netherlands branch of The Nautical Institute, Senior FSA-DP Consultant at Global Maritime, and Senior Maritime Pilot for the Nederlands Loodswezen. Tabak's expertise encompasses shipping safety, nautical risk assessment, and the development of maritime pilot training systems. In academia, Tabak has contributed as an external expert at TU Delft and mentored BSc and MSc thesis students at various institutions.
