Wayne McCullough

Sr Software Engineer at Global Science & Technology, Inc

Wayne McCullough has a strong background in software engineering, particularly in the field of satellite communication systems. Wayne has worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Global Science & Technology, Inc since 2013. In this role, they are a part of the JPSS GRAVITE Development team, where they utilize open source Java software to create enterprise solutions for algorithm verification on high-volume data.

Before this, McCullough worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Unissant from 2012 to 2013. Wayne also focused on the JPSS GRAVITE Development team, using Java software to develop solutions for algorithm verification. During this time, they extended existing technologies to incorporate PostgreSQL, GPFS, and Apache Wicket.

McCullough's earlier experience includes working at Integral Systems, Inc. (Now Kratos Technology & Training Solutions) as a Senior Software Engineer from 1998 to 2012. Here, they were a part of the RAIDRS team, where they designed, developed, and integrated software for the RAIDRS Block 10. This system was used to detect, analyze, geo-locate, and report interference in geostationary communication satellites. Wayne used technologies like Java, J2EE, SQL, JBOSS, and STK to optimize functionality by integrating off-the-shelf components. Wayne also provided expert support on RAIDRS best practices and operations procedures as a part of the RAIDRS Block 10 Trainer.

Prior to their work at Integral Systems, Inc., McCullough worked at CSC as a Developer from 1996 to 1998. Here, they designed and developed connectivity software in Perl to automate Flight Dynamics operations. Additionally, they developed software in C for the ACE Mission Operation Control system, specifically focusing on the Solid State Recorder accounting tool and clock correlation.

Overall, Wayne McCullough has a well-rounded and extensive background in software engineering, with a particular focus on satellite communication systems and algorithm verification.

Wayne McCullough pursued their education at the University of Maryland, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Physics from 1989 to 1993. Their academic aspirations led him to continue their studies at the same university, where they earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Nuclear Engineering from 1993 to 1996.
