Ayhan Kamil is an accomplished commercial leader in the drone industry, currently serving as Chief Operating Officer at AstraUTM, a Thales Company, since January 2020, and as Chief Commercial Officer and Co-Founder of GUTMA since October 2017. Ayhan also holds memberships in the National Civil UAS Committee in the UAE and possesses a robust background in financial management and business development, previously holding key roles such as Chief Commercial Officer at Exponent Technology Services and Account Manager at MPACT Resources. With a degree in Accounting and Financial Management from The University of Sheffield and ACCA certification, Ayhan has demonstrated expertise in business development, marketing, and client relationship management throughout a diverse career spanning multiple industries.

Global UTM Association (GUTMA)

The Global UTM Association is a nonprofit based in Lausanne, Switzerland. The goals of the association are to: a. Identify actions to be taken to safely, securely and efficiently integrate Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) into national airspace systems; b. Draft and distribute an interoperability blueprint for traffic management of UAS; c. Collaborate with regulators and other stakeholders worldwide to identify standards, as well as scalable and compliant technical solutions, to the development of UAS Traffic Management (UTM) systems; d. Instigate and facilitate partnerships between manned and unmanned users of the airspace; e. And engage with other associations and groups facing similar challenges. The association is global both geographically and by activity sectors. Current members already represent 10 countries across six industries: air navigation service providers, UAS manufacturers, UAS operators, UTM software and infrastructure providers, regulatory bodies, and academic experts.
