Jacqui McDonald

Jacqui McDonald is an experienced broadcast journalist with a diverse background in radio and television. Currently a reporter and newsreader at Global since January 2019, Jacqui creates content for multiple radio stations including LBC and Heart FM. Since June 2017, Jacqui has also served as a continuity announcer for Channel 4, delivering live announcements for peak evening programming. In addition, Jacqui has been a senior reporter at Key 103 since November 2003, covering major news stories and events. As a professional freelancer since May 2008, Jacqui lends a friendly Northern voice to continuity and bulletin reading. Previous experience includes a role as a freelance journalist at BBC from November 2008 to April 2018, producing and scripting news bulletins. Jacqui holds a degree in Linguistics from Lancaster University.
