Gavan Murphy has a diverse and extensive work experience. Gavan began their career as a Channel Account Manager at Tel.Pacific, where they established the Melbourne distribution channel for pre-paid products. Gavan then worked as a Retail Marketing Co-ordinator at eircom before joining iTouch as a Key Account Manager. At Acotel, they served as a Media Business Development Manager. Gavan then joined Vodafone, where they held roles as a Channel Development & Category Manager, focusing on developing new markets for pre-paid products and internet services, as well as growing Vodafone live! music products and services. Most recently, Gavan worked at Globalstar as the Director of Marketing, first for EMEA & APAC and later solely for EMEA. In this role, they were responsible for the marketing, communication, strategic direction, and positioning of Globalstar products and services in B2B and B2C markets across the EMEA region.
Gavan Murphy has a diverse education history. Gavan first attended St. Conleths College from 1985 to 1994, where they obtained their Leaving Certificate with honors. Following this, they enrolled at Portobello College, where they completed a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) degree in Marketing from 1995 to 1998.
In 1998, Gavan Murphy pursued further education and attended the UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School. Here, they completed a Masters in Marketing Practice, focusing on the field of Marketing. Gavan obtained their degree in 1999.
In addition to their academic achievements, Gavan Murphy has also earned a certification as a Yachtmaster Certified from Irish Sailing. Gavan obtained this certification in February 2007.

The Company provides wireless communications services in areas not served or underserved by terrestrial wireless and wireline networks and in circumstances where terrestrial networks are not operational due to natural or man-made disasters. It offers voice and data communication services over its network of in-orbit satellites and its active ground stations (gateways), which it refers to collectively as the Globalstar System. The Company's services are available only with equipment designed to work on its network two-way voice communication and data transmissions (Duplex) using mobile or fixed devices, and one-way data transmissions (Simplex) using a mobile or fixed device that transmits its location and other information to a central monitoring station, including certain SPOT and Simplex products.
