Matt Leaverton

Matt Leaverton is a Principal Software Engineer at Glowforge since February 2023, with extensive experience in back-end software, data pipelines, and engineering optimizations, significantly improving runtime and data conversion processes. Prior to Glowforge, Matt worked for Velentium in various roles, including Senior Staff Software Engineer, where responsibilities encompassed leading engineering teams on large-scale projects, developing automation systems, and mentoring engineers. Additional experience includes a Senior Software Engineer position at Facebook, where contributions involved developing connected factory software and enhancing frameworks for networked manufacturing. Matt holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, obtained in 2013.
