Michael Clausen

Michael Clausen is currently the Chief Executive Officer of GMT Corporation, a private equity-owned manufacturer specializing in high-precision machining and fabrication for various global OEMs across multiple industries, including Defense and Energy. Prior to this role, Clausen served as President of ALMACO, overseeing global strategy and operations for agricultural equipment manufacturing. Clausen held the position of Group President at Krause Group, managing strategic leadership across multiple investment platforms. Earlier experience includes Vice President of Partnership Development at CBE Companies and President & CEO of WFI, Inc., where Clausen guided the company through a successful private equity exit. Clausen’s career began at GM Financial, where significant responsibilities included directing call center sales and operations. Clausen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business with a focus on Marketing from the University of Northern Iowa.
