Caribou
Jon Waggoner is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in network architecture and cloud engineering. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at Caribou since February 2022, Jon leads network functionality design and implementation across various technologies, including Istio Service Mesh and GCP Networking. Previously, at Imagine Products Inc from May 2015 to February 2022, Jon held multiple roles, culminating in the position of Principal Software Architect & Engineer, where responsibilities included managing software engineers and overseeing cloud engineering efforts. Jon also designed and maintained over 20 microservices and CLIs, deploying them to Kubernetes. Early career experiences include developing desktop applications during an internship and serving as a Sergeant in the Army National Guard from June 2009 to June 2017, with a deployment in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Educational qualifications include a degree from Indiana University Indianapolis, completed in 2016.
