Bill Cao has an extensive work experience in the tech industry. Bill started their career as a Software Engineer Intern at Facebook in 2011. Bill then had two Software Engineer Internships at Wish in 2012. In 2013, they joined Wish again but this time as the VP of Engineering - Marketplace and Logistics. In this role, they led the Marketplace & Logistics Engineering organization, overseeing various projects and managing a team of 200+ members across five countries. Bill continued in this role until 2021. Currently, Bill is the VP of Engineering at the GOAT Group, a position they have held since 2022.
Bill Cao attended the University of Waterloo from 2008 to 2013, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Software Engineering.
