About the Internal Risk Team
Our team’s mission is to "Empower GoCardless to mitigate risk and drive growth."
As part of the larger Merchant Operations group, the Internal Risk team is responsible for two major areas to drive its mission. The first focus area is to drive growth, by building solutions that enable smoother onboarding experience for merchants and reduce friction during verifications.
The team is currently engaged with other growth teams and product designers to revamp the entire onboarding journey for customers and elevate the merchant activation rate for GC customers.
The second focus area is building and integrating tools & solutions for monitoring existing & new merchant bases and mitigating various risks they pose to GC.
We gather, process and analyse the data about our customers and use predictive ML models to understand the risks and provide configurable & actionable tools, which empower business teams to take appropriate actions on a daily basis.
The team works closely with stakeholders across Fraud, Credit Risk and Compliance domains to scope and build effective risk mitigation strategies.
This role will work across the full stack using TypeScipt, React, Ruby on Rails, BigQuery, Google Cloud Platform. We are happy to teach any part of our stack, as we look to hire great engineers and know good people learn quickly!
