Omar Ruiz has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Omar currently holds the position of Vice President - Destinations & Partnerships EMEA at Go City®, a role they have been in since 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Regional Director EMEA at Go City® from 2020 to 2023.

Before joining Go City®, Omar worked at Booking.com from 2016 to 2020. Omar held various roles during their tenure, including Area Manager - Benelux, Iberia, Morocco, UK & IE - Booking Experiences, Market Manager Spain - Booking Experiences, and Opportunity Manager Barcelona - Booking Experiences. In these positions, Omar was responsible for developing and implementing new business units, negotiating deals, setting targets, and managing teams.

Prior to their time at Booking.com, Omar worked at Hotelbeds Group as a Contracting Manager Belgium & Luxembourg. Omar focused on negotiating agreements, building strong relationships with hotels, and ensuring the best market conditions.

Omar's early work experience includes roles at Sheraton Hotels & Resorts as Manager on Duty, Guest Service Agent, and Front Office Trainee, where they excelled in providing outstanding guest service and maintaining a professional environment.

Omar started their career at KPMG as a Tax & Advisory Trainee.

Throughout their career, Omar has demonstrated strong leadership, negotiation skills, and a customer-centric approach. Omar has experience in strategic planning, team management, and business development.

Omar Ruiz obtained a Law Degree and a Master in Tax Law from Esade between 2007 and 2012. Later, in 2013 and 2014, they pursued a Master in Innovative Hospitality Management at Zuyd Hogeschool | Zuyd University of Applied Sciences, specializing in Tourism.
