Chopin Yen has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over three decades. Starting from 1990, Chopin worked as a Software Engineer/Consultant for various companies including Borland, Autodesk, Charles Schwab, Informix, and Rubric. In 1998, Chopin became a consultant for Rubric. From 2000 to 2002, Chopin worked as the Director of Professional Services at Quiq. In 2002, Chopin joined Business Objects, where they held roles such as Senior Manager, Chief of Staff, and Director of Technology. In 2007, Chopin joined Microsoft as a Principal Group Program Manager/Director, later transitioning to Group Manager positions in the Greater Asia OEM Field Engineering and Services. From 2011 to 2015, Chopin worked as a Program Director and Group Manager at Microsoft Consulting Services. In 2015, Chopin took a family sabbatical. In 2017, Chopin co-founded DrVigo and assumed the role of CTO. In 2018, Chopin joined Submittable as the Chief Technology Officer, serving until 2020. Finally, in 2022, Chopin Yen became the VP of Engineering at GoFreight.

Chopin Yen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from UC Santa Barbara. In addition, they have obtained certifications in React - The Complete Guide (incl Hooks, React Router, Redux) from Udemy in August 2020, and Machine Learning from Coursera in August 2018.
