Alvaro Castro

Alvaro Castro has worked in the tech industry since 2008. In 2008, they worked as a Full Stack Developer at IDS, where they were responsible for the development and maintenance of high-traffic e-commerce sites. Alvaro then worked at TeraCode in 2010 as a Full Stack Developer, using tools such as PHP, Drupal, Code Igniter, Symfony, Doctrine, JavaScript, jQuery, Sencha ExtJS, MySQL, Git, SVN, HTML, and CSS. In 2012, they worked at BairesDev as a Full Stack Developer, where they were involved in the development of a video streaming platform for multiple devices. In 2013, they worked at R/GA as a Front-end Developer, using Drupal as a back office administrator and building a configurable serializer addon. In 2014, they worked at GOintegro as a Front-end Developer, where they were involved in the development and architecture to re-build from scratch the different products of the company. In 2018, they co-founded Followers Machine, where they were mainly in charge of reverse engineering the Instagram app and the development of an automation solution using node.js.

Alvaro Castro obtained a Tecnico Superior Programador degree from Universidad Tecnológica Nacional in 2011, majoring in Programacion. Alvaro also has a certification from Code School in Powering Up With React.
