Kieran West MBE PhD OLY is an accomplished executive with significant experience in strategic leadership and development across various industries. Currently serving as Executive Vice President and a member of the Executive Leadership Team at Elsevier since 2024, Kieran is responsible for global strategic initiatives and M&A opportunities. Prior to this role, Kieran was Strategy Director at Bupa, driving substantial business growth and transformation within the healthcare sector. Kieran's career also includes a tenure as Associate Partner at McKinsey & Company, where leadership spanned multiple sectors, and a prestigious Olympic career as a gold medallist and World Champion in rowing. Kieran is also recognized for contributions to education as a Mathematics teacher and has an extensive academic background, holding a Ph.D. from the University of Cambridge in History, paired with studies in War Studies and Economics.
