Rich Cocozza

Rich Cocozza is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in risk management, capital markets, and asset financing. Currently serving as Vice President in the Alternative Markets Group at Goldman Sachs since September 2024, Rich is focused on origination and structuring of fund and asset financing. Prior to this role, Rich held the position of Chief Risk Officer at Avenue Capital Group from March 2016 to September 2024, overseeing fund and asset finance, macro research, hedge structuring, and risk analytics. Earlier experience includes serving as Executive Director at J.P. Morgan, where Rich led the North American Prime Brokerage Risk team, and as Vice President at Bear Stearns. Rich holds a BA with Honors in Political Science and Economics from Syracuse University and a JD in Business Law and Policy from New York Law School.
