Emily Pancake

Emily Pancake has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Emily currently works as a Senior Software Engineer at GoodTime.io since 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Software Engineer at Travelers Haven from 2019 to 2022.

Emily has also worked as a Software Developer at Pinnacol Assurance from 2018 to 2019, where they created full-stack features using technologies like Angular, Rails, Ruby, JavaScript, SCSS, Rspec, Foundation, and Haml. Emily collaborated with UX specialists to implement Human Centered Design features for injured workers.

Before transitioning into software development, Emily gained experience in technical communication and management. Emily worked as a Technical Communications Manager at Terumo BCT from 2014 to 2017, managing a team of technical writers in the medical device industry. Prior to that, they worked as a Technical Writer at Terumo BCT from 2013 to 2014, developing user documentation for medical devices and supporting product launches.

Emily also has experience in election administration, having served as a Ballot Processing Coordinator at Denver Elections Division from 2011 to 2013. In this role, they ensured the proper processing and counting of mail ballots and managed multiple teams of ballot processors. Additionally, they worked as a Records Management Specialist at Denver Elections Division from 2010 to 2011, managing electronic records and providing training on organizational principles.

Earlier in their career, Emily worked as a Materials Handler at Arapahoe Library District from 2009 to 2010 and as a Clerk/Manager at Broadwing from 2006 to 2010.

Emily's early work experience includes an internship at The Onion, AV Club in 2008, where they created content for the print version, wrote restaurant reviews, and conducted interviews with local individuals of interest.

Throughout their career, Emily Pancake has acquired skills in software engineering, full-stack development, technical communication, project management, and election administration, making their a well-rounded professional.

Emily Pancake began their education in 2000 at the University of Colorado Boulder, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities in 2005. In 2008, they pursued further studies at the University of Denver, completing a Master's degree in Library and Information Science in 2010. In 2005, they also engaged in a Study Abroad program at Corvinus University of Budapest. Most recently, in 2017 and 2018, they attended Galvanize Inc and completed a Web Development Immersive program.
