Wendy White has extensive work experience in finance and accounting. Wendy is currently the VP Finance and Accounting at Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee, where they oversee financial reporting, audits, budgeting, treasury management, and payroll functions. Wendy has also completed an ERP implementation to Sage Intacct. Prior to that, they worked as a Controller at WinnCompanies, where they prepared and reviewed financial reports, managed budgets, and ensured compliance with legal agreements. Wendy started their career as an Accounts Receivable professional at Red River Concrete Products LLC. Wendy also served as an Army Finance Officer and Commander in the US Army Finance Corps from 1997 to 2001.
Wendy White obtained a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from the University of North Alabama, where they studied from 1993 to 1996. Wendy continued their education at the same university and completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Accounting from 1996 to 1997. Wendy also holds additional certifications including being a Certified Public Accountant, obtained in December 2013 from NASBA. In November 2019, they completed two courses, "Excel Business Intelligence Part 1: Power Query" and "Excel Business Intelligence Part 2: Data Modeling 101," from LinkedIn.

Founded in 1957 as a not-for-profit, Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee's mission is, "Changing lives through education, training and employment." The agency, based in Nashville, Tenn., employs more than 2,000 people and serves 48 counties throughout Middle and West Tennessee. We operate 33 retail stores, including three outlet stores, Career Solutions centers and over 70 donation sites. Goodwill is Middle and West Tennessee's largest employer of people with disabilities with more than 80 percent of our workforce reporting some type of disability or disadvantage.
