Jonathan Balog is the Chief Communications Officer for Goodwill Industries of the Chesapeake where he is responsible for the internal and external marketing & communications strategies for Goodwill’s retail & donated goods and workforce development programs. He has worked for Goodwill for over 17 years. Prior to Goodwill, he worked in marketing roles for various for-profits and non-profits in the Baltimore-Washington area. He earned his MBA from Johns Hopkins University and a BA in English & Professional Writing from The University of Baltimore. He is a graduate of Goodwill Industries International’s Executive Development Program and Goodwill Industries International’s Senior Leadership Program.

Through the sale of donated goods, Goodwill generates opportunities for those in need to secure and retain employment by providing job training, placement services, and other community-based programs. These programs are available to adults and youth who have disabilities, criminal backgrounds, lack education or job experience, or are facing employment challenges.
